Jumpstart almost bit back at Vibro's offhand dismissal. Almost...
Narrowing his optics, the medic instead shrugged with an equal level of 'Devil May Care' dismissal and snorted derisively, "Lil courtesy don't cost nothin', pal. You wanna blank me out, that's your problem not mine. Next time I won't ask or play doorstop t' make sure everyone gets in safe."
Counting in and out was one of his few rituals, along with being practically the last in from any given battle zone. It was all part and parcel of his training, making sure every single member of a team was accounted for and those that weren't were either rescued or brought back to base for the proper final courtesies.
Moving away, the medic hoisted his rifle on to a shoulder and went to join the handful of 'bots that made up his squad, affording Watertight a nod of thanks as he passed the serpentine scientist.
It was at that moment that he picked up on Beam's situation...
((OOC: Moving Jumper on over to Temple thread to assist))
"Received, Angel: Copied and understood. Will take a wide circuit of the A.O to clear any remaining resistance cells counter to your attack pattern. RV confirmed. To follow on your mark.
Tecton: Stay above cloud cover until my return. Keep a low profile for your own safety and take any necessary action if you come under attack."
Wheeling about, Aegis took an opposing heading to Laser to make a final sweep of the battlefield and flush out any remaining hostiles in the area. It wasn't long until she detected a small cluster of mechs priming an RPG launcher. Cutting her engine, the femme coasted near-silently on the thermals rising from the heat of the battlefield and, nearing her target, released a round from her gatling guns to distract them.
The strafe run worked, sending the foot-soldiers into frenzied defense as they brought the launcher about to trace back along her line of fire. However, as gravity took it's inevitable hold, Aegis went nose-down into a steep, silent dive releasing another round from the guns as she broke the cloud-cover and finishing with her signature cluster bomb attack before bringing her engine back up at full throttle and pulling away near-vertically.
The resulting explosion levelled the threat and put the hostiles firmly out of commission. Aegis knew this and took no pleasure from it, not even casting a scanner aft to check. This was war and fatalities were inevitable. Her consolation was that for every fellow Cybertronian her attacks sent to the Creator, another innocent could potentially be liberated.
Moving on, she began another high pass, scanning for threats.

High above the temple, watching the battle from his ship, was a large transformer, he had a smirk on his face and chuckled as he saw the Autobots enter the temple, he jumped and curled into a ball, he landed safely with a thud. Carmana was about to enter the temple, when there was a loud thud from behind him, he looked behind him and saw a massive transformer standing there, they locked eyes for a moment, then both drew their blades. "Wait a minute...no...it can't be...Grandslam? But you're, you're dead. This isn't real! Who are you and why do you have Grandslam's sword?!? Answer me!" The bigger bot looked at Carmana and there was a falter in his stance, but his words wiped clean any hope that he was an ally. "Is that you Carmana? My old friend...i see that old pistol is still at your hip...please forgive me...but you have to die...for what it is worth...I will miss you." Carmana was about to say something, when the big bot ran his sword through Carmana's chest, he then fired his laser drill at carmana's right arm, finally he opened his chest cavity, and a wave of sonic energy blasted out at carmana, sending the injured bot flying into the temple. Grandslam turned around, and vanished as the wind covered his figure in sand. Carmana, leaking energon fast, weak and confused, looked at the spot where his once good friend had stood. "Grandslam, why...what...what happened to you?" He then passed out where he lay in a pile of ruble.

No less than a thousand feet away from Aegis' position, a dusty grey-and-red Cybertronian jet likewise scanned for targets on the landscape below. The cloud cover was iffy, given the rust-inducing weather, but so was flying below cloud cover, given the ventilation-inducing enemy fire.
Ironstar was still waiting for his energy cannons to cool before making another descent. He had already cleared out small pockets of enemy resistance a while back, taking care to avoid the obvious medics with the large red Cybertronian crosses painted on their backs, shoulders, and even on the top of their heads so that Autobot fliers would know to leave them alone. And, as far as Ironstar was concerned, a proper Autobot would follow such codes of honour. Anything less would have to be... disciplined.
Finally, he decided to ping the jet below with a simple hail request.
(Newbie poster here, just let me know if I've overstepped my bounds with my post, thanks!)

Tecton obediently ascends above the clouds although he is unsure of what else he could possibly do from the air.
Volca silently follows behind Vibro and lingers in the entrance much like most of the others before her had. Something about this place... It stirred something deep within her. Not fear, something greater, something unknown... What is that feeling?... Maybe it will become clearer further into this place... She steps forward but then hesitates waiting for the rest of her team.
((I'm just skipping Cutlass forward to the temple now then...))

Laser landed.
He did so a little ways off from the vault entry way, staying out of sight. He'd be back with the others shortly...he had business to attend to. The heavy mech opened his palm, revealing a spinning cylinder. He pressed some invisible buttons, and the machine came alive, activating a small beacon. He placed it in the sand, and it gripped the terrain, increasing it's torque and shining infrared up to the skies. Laser recoded the light to a even more discreet camouflage. He then hopped on a secure connection...one protected by 14 levels of security.
"...Arc 5...are you close?"
****************
A blue streak of light scorched through the sky not too far away, followed closely by a stout, heavily armored ship. The former barrel rolled and flipped with unnecessary elegance, accelerating and watching the ship at all times.
"Roger that Lazarus...we're in route now. Were about 10 kliks out...We'll be there in no time at all. No time." Climax grinned from his high octane alt form. "Blimey...let's pick up the speed then, eh?"
*****************
Inside of the Arc 5, everyone was far less cheerful than their escort was. They worriedly checked the radars, making sure they weren't being followed. "Negative, Climax. Do not pick up speed. We want to manage this perfectly." The Commander drawled to the Captain. "Keep up with him, but don't let him speed up. Force him to stay with the ship." Turning around briskly, he walked to the medical bay, receiving salutes by other Kalisians.
He came to a scene of utter concentration, 4 nurses surrounding a large container that was obviously frozen and kept cool...and they were slowly, slowly thawing it out. The frozen smoke of cooling vapors drifted off of the holding chamber, and he could see the contents clearly....
Iris...the Demi-Prime.
The precious package. "Doctor, how is she doing?"
The Doctor looked up from her computer, smiling courteously. "She's fine, Commander. Her vitals are great and pressure is low. She should start being able to hear and see us soon."
"Make sure she isn't able to move until the drop."
"Of course sir. She won't be able to move until she is burst out of the holding chamber."
The commander gave a faraway stare at the chamber. "I don't know if she's ready for this...."
"You're never ready. You're only ready enough..." said the doctor, going back to her work. She was right...the Autobots needed her....

"I.D on channel, please," Aegis responded neutrally to the hail. Of course, her scanners had already locked on to Ironstar and enabled the femme to make a swift assessment of the mech. He was well armed, no doubt, and evidently built for speed. She had yet to make visual contact at this distance though.
Again, she returned the hail:
"I repeat. I.D on channel. Make your intentions clearly known."

The sound of a gunshot put paid to all frivolity though as did the unmistakable scraping of a body hitting a hard surface from the impact of said gunshot no doubt. Optics narrowing, the medic automatically switched back into business mode and made a break in the direction of the commotion.
"I gotta roll. Slag's hit the fan f' some unfortunate fragger or other."
Taking his leave, the medic headed back to the main grouping to get a better handle on the situation.
As soon as he came back into the area, it was quite clear to the medic that he needed to act - now. Not even considering potential risk to himself from the new hostile, he bolted to the fallen form of Carmana and set to work on stabilising the mech.
Major fuel lines had been severed by a bladed weapon, the youngster was losing fluids fast as a result. Optics narrowed, the medic clipped and re-routed lines around the damage, running in new sections even as his onboards worked to syphon the leaked fluids from the mech's internal componentry to prevent short-outs causing further complications.
Everything passed in a blur in the following moments as Jumpstart fell firmly into his element, oblivious to all else around him as he worked to save a life. It was now that the medic would be at his most vulnerable were he out on the field. As it was, he relied on those around him to keep the newcomer off his back until he was done.
It took time to remedy this, time and a steady hand. He had one but not the other. The team needed to move and he was holding them up.
Quickly glancing up at his 'audience', he barked, "I'm gonna need an escort back t' the ship. This kid's outta the game f' the while. Anyone willin' t' ride shotgun back out there with me?"

Towreck narrowed his Optics, loading up his Cannon after hearing the Doc's request. Nodding his head, he stepped foward. "Shotgun is my middle name Doc." He said, as he walked up next to him, Energon Cannon primed and ready, as well as his N-AR by his side.

"And good morning to you! This is Staff-Sergeant Ironstar," Ironstar replied smoothly to Aegis' request, with a slight 'british' accent. "Autobot Defense Air Corps, pulling double duty for the day. I'm a little late to the game but I've just caught up, my apologies. How may I assist? Please advise." he inquired as he began to descend gradually to Aegis' altitude, while maintaining safe distance.

"Carmana!"
Slag where did that decepticon come from? Vibro aimed his cannon when suddenly Grandslam disappeared. Shit, was this a planned attack? Vibro went over to Carmana where the shot mortally wounded him. Looking over to Jumpstart, he had to bring him back to the ship. Carmana can't be suitable for this mission. He was mad of himself for letting this happened. Looking over to Towreck and Jumpstart, he nodded towards the medic to see to his care.
"Towreck & Jumpstart, go to the ship and take care of him. You three will stay behind and when he is 100%, you will be a team upon entering the temple."

Carmana slowly regained consciousness and groaned, he looked at Vibro and placed a hand on his shoulder. "V-Vibro...listen to me...whatever you do...DO NOT engage Grandslam in combat, if you see him promise me you will run...run as fast as you can...please!" There was a genuine fear in Carmana's optics...he didn't want to loose anyone to a ghost from his past.
