Profile: Steamwright appears to have a calm and easygoing demeanour. He speaks slowly and calmly, only raising his voice if he feels he has to. He seems to be quite a humble robot, preferring to work behind the scenes and out of the way, yet appears to be very enthusiastic about his work.
Prior to the outbreak of the war, Steamwright was a student of Blockbuster, an architect, and aspired to follow in his footsteps. He was in Iacon for educational purposes when the Decepticons began their campaign. Since he was not combat-oriented in any way, he did his best to avoid the war. As hard as he tried, however, he couldn’t outrun the conflict. Given the choice, he joined the Autobots. Though he received some combat training, he was more suited to a non-combat role.
Steamwright’s special ability is telescopic vision. He is able to zoom his vision up to 10x as far as he can regularly see. Useful for spotting an oncoming attack or searching for lost Autobots.
In terms of weaponry, all he feels he needs is an EMP Shotgun, which, despite the name, does not actually fire an EMP. Instead, it’s a standard energy shotgun with a surprisingly far range.
Weaknesses: Steamwright isn’t exactly well-suited for combat, having little in the way of firearms or hand-to-hand training.
While using his telescopic vision, Steamwright needs to concentrate on whatever he’s looking at, making him more susceptible to surprises.
