Empire glared at the bot that Wraith had saved him from. Seeing his opportunity, Empire thrust his fist through the bot’s spark chamber and proceeded to rip it in half. “They only die of you completely destroy the spark chamber.” Empire side as he wiped the dust off his hands. “That was one of the failed test subjects for the immortality project. They were given artificial spark generators and we had hoped that it would allow them to be revived from the dead. However, revival is extremely painful and the generators were not perfected. The new sparks only last a few moments and the result is a bot that is constantly dyeing and being brought back. That kind of pain was enough to drive them mad and now they are immortal monsters that only want to kill. At first I was going to have them destroyed, but I chose to keep them around to sell to the highest bidder of the war ever got to the point where one of the sides was despite enough to use them.”
Empire sighed and kicked the body of the bot. “We didn’t mean to make them monsters, but that doesn’t matter does it? They won’t try to leave the undergrid, if that’s what you’re worried about. They only kill prey that comes to them.” Empire then turned to Wraith and sighed, “It is my duty to retrieve the research that made these monsters, I know that I will die doing this, if you want to turn back, this is probably you last chance. Either way, I am going.”
Meanwhile, a faint growl echoed around chance. From below Chance an arm shot out of the floor and began to wildly swing around trying to grab at anything living. Luckily, Chance was outside of the arm’s grasp, and soon the appendage retreated back into the floor. After a moment a silence, a spine chilling screech was heard and the bot burst through the floor. The bot was missing its legs and hovered in the air with the help of two engines on its back; however the most disturbing thing about the bot was that its spark chamber was exposed and its spark was rapidly fading in and out creating a strobe light effect.

Chance's reaction was near instant, half-stumbling backward the minibot instantly went for his guns and levelled off several rounds of acid at the hellish apparition in front of him peppering it with the highly corrosive chemical as it advanced.
Sometimes he wished he had a little more in terms of weaponry.... then it dawned on him....
Diving to the floor, the black and white rolled beneath the zombie and unspaced the rifle he'd been given earlier by V. Coming up into a crouch, he readied the weapon and loosed a shot or two at the creature's back, hoping to hit the solid-fuel rockets and blow it to kingdom come. The unexpected recoil from the weapon knocked the small mech flat on his aft. Realistically, this was a sniper rifle and he was no sniper, but at this range he couldn't really miss.
He just hoped it worked.

The shots shattered one of the engines that kept the bot in the air and the resulting explosion sent one of its arms flying through ceiling. With only one engine, the bot was unable to keep it balance and began to move erratically like a deflating balloon. As it repeatedly rammed into the walls of the corridor, the bot let out several cries of pain until the 2nd engine gave out and the bot fell to the floor. After a moment the bot regained its composure and let out a howl of rage as it began to use its last limb to scuttle towards Chance.

Whysp jumps from the shadows. "All else fails, aim for the spark..." Whysp throws her sword right through the spark chamber of the undead bot before it can get to Chance. She throws the blade with such force that it continues out through the body and into the wall in which it sticks. Briefly looking at the bot she is quite certain that it was now dead. She goes to the wall and attempts to pull out the blade. "Why did I throw it so hard...?" With a sigh she gives it one last tug taking out a piece of the wall with it. She walks into the room stands beside Empire. Wraith just looks at Empire and shakes his head. "Messing with things no mortal should..." He looks at floor thinking to himself. Though it makes me wonder, what would happen if their spark was to be extinguished by the substance in me... it did kill me but keep me alive... He looks up to speak. "I may have a few experiments of my own to do with these beings..." A smirk spreads across his face. Whysp takes one look at her partner's face and guesses what kind of idea he just had but says nothing to the others about it.

"Scrappin' slaggin' fraggin' glitched out empties...." Chance muttered, he'd been just about set to take another shot to finish the zombie off when Whysp stepped in and put it out of commission with a blade through the spark.
Clambering to his feet, the black and white examined the newly added scratches from his tumble across the floor and narrowed his optics. He was starting to look like a derelict himself. Shouldering the rifle, he nodded a brief thanks once again to the femme and began to formulate a strategy for further encounters with the tower's inhabitants. It involved grenades, a drone and running like hell...
"Dese slaggers gonna get real 'nnoyin' real quick."

Empire shook his head. “I guess that means you in this for the long run. In would advise you not to experiment with these monsters, but then again, I was the one who was going to sell them to be used in the war.” Empire began to walk towers them computer room and motioned for the others to follow.
“Remember the research is incomplete, so whoever has it could use it to make more of those things and even prefect a way to obtain immortality.” As Empire walked down the hall 4 more bots crashed through the walls and began charging at him. “I almost forgot to mention that these things like to attack in groups.” Empire said as he transformed and began to fire at the bots. The first three shot hit the spark chambers of their targets and sent them crashing to the floor, but the fourth missed. Seeing that its allies had been deactivated the bot let out a howl of rage.
Suddenly, electrical energy began to emanate from within the bot and bolts of electricity shot of the bots spark chamber and struck the three fallen bots. “Project C?” Empire whispered as he began to back away from the bot. the three lifeless bodies began to shake and in one swift movement the bodies sprang to life and attached themselves to the remaining bot. With horror, Empire watched as the bot began to screech as it began to transform and absorbed its fallen comrades into its new form.
The hulking beast was more than twice Empire’s size and with slow moments began to approach Empire. Turning around, Empire looked at the remaining three members of his traveling party, with an expression of sorrow mixed with disappointment Empire said, “I didn’t know they could do that.”
With tremendous force and speed that monster picked up Empire and threw him out of the hallway and back into the lobby. Empire’s body crashed into the wall above the front doors and fell down with a thud. As his body slammed into the floor, the lights from Empire’s eyes slowly faded. Now, with dust covering his white armor, with all his possessions destroyed, with his mighty tower crumbling, with his face on the ground, and with all hope to rise again lost, Empire died.

Chance froze as Empire's limp form flew overhead to strike the wall and fall to the ground in the lobby area behind him. Staring at the creature ahead with a mixture of horror and anger, the scene took him straight back to the fall of Hexadecimal. Doorwings raised high, the small mech glared up at the monstrosity and made his decision.
For the good of Cybertron, this tower and it's inhabitants had to be destroyed. The technology Empire and V had been working on was just too dangerous to ever be used.
Transforming, the black and white made a death-or-glory style run toward the creature only to divert at the very last minute and transform. Diving behind it to the rear of a computer console, the small saboteur decided now was the time to ply his craft. Tearing the access panel from the damaged console he set to work, rigging it up with some of the explosives he'd taken from the weapon's shop the group had first stopped at. Setting the fuse to remote detonate, he darted over to a neighbouring console and set to repeating the process.
Raising his voice, the minibot yelled:
"Wrait'! Whysp! Keep dat slaggin' t'ing offa me... gonna light dis place up like fraggin' supernova!"

Wraith detects Empire's life force fading away before he even sees what happened to him. In almost an act of vengeance he flies through the creature ripping out and crushing the flickering spark as he goes. Confident that the creature didn't hold any more tricks and was now fully dead he lands next to Chance leaving Whysp on guard should any more of these things appear. "What? Why? What about the research? I want to at least see what we came down here for." Whysp steps back towards them not turning around. "If those drones are turning this tower into a ship that might be useful, are you sure you really want to destroy that?"

"Dis kinda slag ain't got no place in real world," Chance spat back, "No sane mech's gonna want tech does dis t' mechs...'s wrong. If mech's deactivated, leave 'em dat way f' respect sake. We live long 'nuff any'ow."
Ferreting about inside the second console, the black and white located a data storage module and quickly disconnected it from the reader array it was housed in tossing it at Wraith with a wingflick, "If'n means dat much take it. 'Member, dat gets out in public domain an' I know 'ow it got der...ain' got no qualms 'bout payin' visit t' make sure it don't get no further, right?"
As bright as Chance's tone usually was, the small mech made it quite clear exactly how he'd 'secure' the information should his hand be forced in the matter. Giving a few moments thought to the potential of having a ship, he closed, "Ship could be useful if'n wasn't crawlin' wit' ravin' crazies, empties an' dem slaggin' killer drones. Got better idea'n fraggin' dis place over wit' 'ksplosives 's 'ear it, see."

Wraith catches the data storage module and just looks at it. "V did say he fixed the drones programming, he only didn't reactivate them." Whysp leans on the wall. "I think he also said there was at least 30 of the monsters so we could just hunt them all." "Or you could just leave it to me, shouldn't take me too long, though I may need some means of drawing them out. I need to look through these files and see what I can find out about them." He wanders over to a computer. "I'll need to reattach this." He looks at the computer with no clue where to put the module. Whysp sighs and conjures her three shadows commanding them with a simple hand motion to keep watch, while she assists Wraith with the computer. Wraith immediately begins to scan read the files stopping when he gets to the part mentioning the zombie machines. "He called them Sparkfeeders, and they go after anything with a spark. Which means one of you two will have to be bait." He unveils the dark substance filling the hole where his spark should be before covering it back up again. "This substance could well have helped their research but oh well. You don't need to worry about being the bait I'll be able to kill them before they get to you both." "Chance you should probably get to work on reactivating those drones. I'll help Wraith. I'll leave two of my shadows to help you if anything should slip past us." Two of the shadows stand on opposite sides of the room keeping watch as instructed, while the third follows Whysp out of the room. Wraith disconnects the module from the computer and tucks it away. "I'll keep hold of this until I decide what to actually do with it." He runs out after Whysp and begins to hunt for the sparkfeeders. "I finished off one of them, and there was another four that killed Empire, so that leaves 25 if the number is correct." "24. There was one more that Empire killed after they killed V. I can't even drain the things so I hope they don't do too much damage. Look out!" He slams one of them into the wall and rams his heavy sword through it's chest. "The hunt begins..."
