Profile:
Aegis is a recent addition to the mainstay of the Autobot forces lately relocated from Iacon. Formerly a refugee from a city already laid waste by the encroaching Decepticon war machine, she was previously a field reporter in the free news trade. Since her arrival in Iacon she has turned her knack for gathering information into a means to defend her chosen cause and now acts as first recon on or above the battlefield to give her colleagues optics on and tactical information regarding the situation in hand.
Upgrading to the form of the T45 Goshawk, as commonly found on Earth, she is exceptionally agile in the air with thanks to the superb aerodynamics of her design. This gives her a distinct advantage in dog-fight situations versus most other flight capable Cybertronians. Add to this her considerable armament and Aegis becomes a force to be reckoned with in the air when challenged. While not capable of super-sonic flight, she will easily out-manoeuvre most of these challengers and leave more than a passing mark on them in her wake.
Socially, Aegis is quite easy going and very approachable despite her predilection toward bookishness and somewhat off-putting use of her considerably extended vocabulary. As one might expect of an investigative journalist though, she absorbs and retains vast amounts of data and can report on her latest findings with pinpoint accuracy down to the most minute of details. Had she not have developed a talent for writing, Aegis’ personal interest in languages would doubtless have seen her make her way into one of the fringe scientific disciplines, most probably Xenolinguistics. She speaks and reads all currently known dialects of Cybertronian and can decipher and translate alien languages given sufficient time to do so.
Weaknesses:
Being an aerial build, Aegis is typically not especially good in ground based melee combat. She will fight to the best of her abilities should need arise, but typically her light airframe build will leave her in serious trouble when facing off against any land-based opponents.
Any damage sustained to her flight gear or wing surfaces in her aerial form will leave her grounded and thus unable to be of assistance. Additionally, she cannot operate at high altitude due to an inherent weakness in her thermoregulatory systems, this leads to freezing of key components during flight and will result in Aegis being forced into a crash-landing situation.
