Profile: Midge is a small gun-metal gray Cybertronian helicopter in her alternate mode. In robot mode, her tail rotor retracts into her body and her main rotor folds against her back. The upper front part of her cockpit forms an extended chest area and arms, while most of the lower and rear cockpit unfolds to form legs. The lower portions of her leg are sort of wide, giving it a flared "bell-bottom" appearance. Her side-mounted rocket launchers fold against the side of her lower pant leg, and are detachable as weapons, while her landing skids fold up against her "calf area."
Her head emerges from the place where her cockpit folds forward. It is notable because she has no face, simply a single, circular green optic behind a transparent ovoid window. Her visage is most comparable to Shockwave's. Her voice emits from the front of her chest, and small green lights light up when she speaks.
Midge is meant to be a tragic character. She greatly desires the respect, and more importantly the love and friendship of her fellows, but something about her personality seems to cause others to ignore her or dismiss her. This causes her tov try harder and harder to be noticed, but somehow she's "just Midge." This is the source of her courage, the desperate yearning for recognition.
One of Midge's skills is Electronic warfare, and it is her primary function. Prior to battle, Midge flies up high and blankets an area with electromagnetic pulses and signal countermeasures that are capable of foiling some of the most sophisticated communications equipment. Due to this, she often is a primary target by aerial combatants, and uses her speed and maneuverability to try to jam enemy signals as long as possible.
Midge was originally designed to briefly leave Cybertron's orbit in order to search for valuable discarded or damaged equipment amongst low to mi- orbital junk. She cannot force reentry once she leaves atmosphere with out special equipment (jet-boosters), but she has sufficient speed to get into space. Though not ideally suited for this type of thing, it was the kind of work Midge was capable of getting due to her prototype. She often worked cheap.
Weaknesses:[/color]
Midge's weakness is her desire to please. It overrides much of her common sense, so when she is around her fellow Autobots, she often tries very hard to show them her worth. This can cause her to take stupid risks, though she has survived the ones she has taken.
