Towreck, who had been sitting inside the old medical center, was idly staring at the monitor next to Vibro. He didn't understand a thing on the monitor, other than the energon rate, which had a slow, slightly rhythmic beep to it. Fiddling with the mounted cannon on his arm, Towreck was messing with the settings, seeing what he could do with it. He had wished he could dismount the thing and open it up to do some re-wiring, but after a look around the place, he could see there was no tools around that he needed for the job.
"For Primus sake, where is the medic at? He has been outside for quite some time..." Towreck muttered, before he heard the door opened, and saw a light being cast into the room, a shadow in the midst of the light. "Thank goodness, if I didn't know any better, I woulda thought that Arachnoid had torn him into food...the darn thing looked hungry enough." He mused aloud, shutting the small panel on his Canon and standing up, heading for the door. When he turned the corner, he didn't expect to see a different bot holding the door, nor did he expect to see Laser standing outside.
After taking a good look of the guardian, Towreck did a low, quiet whistle. He knew Laser took a lot of hits, but the damage looked even worse up close. Towreck proceeded to make his way to the door, as he was intent on finally leaving and heading for the armory he had saw on the walk over.

Every time Starport ever got completely drunk, he always regret something he did in those short lasting periods.
“It takes a lot to get me drunk, it goes through me quickly, but I’m just as drunk as the next bot. Well, I’m glad I sent that I guess, that’s what brought you here. And I doubt you’ll find a decent crew here though, just loyal Autobots around here from what I’ve seen… Loyal.. Damn, hey Cutlass, hope you don’t mind an old bot ramble, but have you seen any other bots besides us? Cause I’ve got a friend out there, name’s Vibro, and I can’t do a thing to help him… If only I knew where he even was."
Starport knew drinking wouldn’t help him anymore than it would hurt at this point. Placing his drink down, he just stared up at the skies, wounding about his friends. He hadn’t seen them since the Iacon invasion was beginning. They could have been sent offline, and Starport wouldn’t know.

A little disappointed with what Starport said about finding a crew Cutlass finishes the smaller bottle he was drinking. "Don't worry about rambling mate, I've often been told I talk too much. Not really seen anyone 'cept in passing when we were leaving the citadel. I'm not sure if I know a 'bot named Vibro but I don't normally pay much attention to names unless they're a friend or if they're wanting to kill or imprison me. You tried to contact him? Hmm, speaking of friends I wonder where Teccie and Volca went? Meh, they'll probably let me know if they need me..." With a sigh he drops the empty bottle on the floor next to him and stretches out lying on the ground with his arms folded behind his head. "Not many ladies around here is there?..." --- As soon as Laser and Volca enter the room Tecton steps away from the door letting it close behind him. Volca stands close to Tecton keeping her optics locked on Spironok. Even though the creature appears to be sedated she doesn't like the look of it.

OOC: Bear with me for overly long catch up post! My internet's been dead for the last few days. Take this as read just to tie up and move on to the situation in hand
Jumpstart's reaction was near-instant, as the arachnoid lunged at him he dodged backward, knife drawn and charge system fully online, displaying the tell-tale tendrils of electro-static energy that marked its activation. Lowly, holding his ground, he growled, “Jus’ try it, slagger…you’ll be missin’ seven of those eight legs in short order.” He wasn't fool enough to think for one moment that the spider droid was even remotely dormant or passive even in its current state. These creatures were ambush hunters, apex predators…and he was prey. Overtures of 'niceness' - if such could be said of him – were pretty damned pointless, even in the line of duty. The moment passed quickly though as the creature's 'guardian', Laser, joined the fray and dealt with the situation by taking Spironok offline. Optics narrowing, the medic stood down and gave a short nod in response to the extensive list of repairwork the mech preceded to lay at his proverbial doorstep. "Wonderful… good for you. Of course I can fix it, glitch…the hell do you think I am? A spraybooth technician?" the sarcastic comment was dry, bone-dry as the saying went, "Interesting pet, by the way. You'll have to tell me where I can get one, need somethin’ to keep the inmates in line." Of course, he wasn't in the slightest bit serious, it was just his usual dark sense of humour coming into play in an awkward situation. Allowing the larger mech to lead in - not that he had a choice in the matter - the medic followed on with the now-empty trolley. Casting an optic over the guardian's entourage, he scrutinised the one indicated as a 'doctor'. Being an academy tech, he had exacting standards for those he worked alongside and Tecton didn’t look like he was within five kliks of the proverbial bill, let alone anywhere near fitting it. The smaller femme he managed a half-smile for. The unmistakable taint of high-grade was heavy on her and although the medic was the first to take to the bar after a tough shift, even he wouldn’t be brazen enough to get wrecked in a situation like this. Brusquely shoving said trolley to one side, Jumpstart returned to the crowd and ran off an update for his ‘fellow’ tech, “Tecton, right? You can see the situation. Got one down with pretty heavy crush and impact damage – fall from height. Critical / Stable condition. Did a field patch and run, notes are on the conn from my remote monitor.
Spironok…goes without sayin’, it fell through the ceilin’ and nearly landed on my fraggin’ cranial… running reds on all major levels, haven’t got close enough to assess yet… and then we got Laser. Take your pick. We’ve just got this place back online, so don’t ask me where the frag anythin’ less than glaringly obvious is. I don’t know.”

Towreck slightly huffed as bots walked passed him, hardly even giving him a nod or notice. He was about to say something, before he realized that most bots didn't give a care whether or not someone was there before they arrive. Shrugging his shoulders, he turned to the group. "Well, since I am no longer needed, I am off to the Weapons Armory down the way...it's gotta be someones job to get some sort of tech and defense systems up and running here, and it would seem I'm the only one fit for it." He said, before turning heel and walking out, while calling behind him. "Contact me if you need me!" After that, he transformed and turned down the road, making way for the Armory

Laser ignored Jumpstart's sarcasm and moved on. Overhearing the conversation between he and The Doctor, he quickly made an input:
"Spironok is in my care. You needn't concern yourself with it. It simply needed nourishment, and it has that now. It will regenerate a new arm shortly. Thank you for your patience. As for Vibro...." He stopped to look at Vibro's sorry sight. "Poor devil...", he mumbled, "But he'll survive."
Something was wrong. There was tension in the air . 'Twas expected, however. They had just experienced a hard bump in the war, but there would be many to come. As an elder, Laser expected he could influence them. He would clear up this fog if it was the last thing he did. He would lighten the mood.
"Impressive work here...Jumpstart, I presume?" Laser looked at him briefly. "With such ancient equipment requires a practiced hand....I do believe I have heard that name before...years ago in fact. Have you ever done work across the Nether Region? That is where I heard your name drifting about."
Laser noticed Beam sulking around. He spoke: "Beam!"
Beam jumped at her name. "....Yeah?"
"Are you not a licensed doctor?"
"Um...yeah...?"
"Then what are you waiting for? Report to the man for further orders." He gestured to Jumpstart. "All hands on deck, little one. We need all the help we can get."
Beam stared at Laser, but then her lower lip slowly curled into the tiniest smile one had ever seen. "Yes...sir!" She slowly walked up to Jumpstart and tugged on his heels. "I can help you out with Vibro, if you want. That way you guys could get started on Laser...or whatever you want, I'm just happy to help."
Laser watched her meek pickup with mild amusement, glad to see her mingling again. Then his tendons snapped and buckled from underneath him.
He crashed to the floor with a low grunt, and pushed himself onto his back with his forearms. "This is it. I can go no further...."

"Yeah, well, we all gotta have someplace t' call home," was all the answer the medic would give, adding almost pleasantly, "An' typically, y' can call me Jumper. I can't stand ceremony, heh." He'd actually spent vorns ahead of his arrival in Iacon in the less-than-salubrious areas, offering his services gratis to those far less fortunate than those he now held stock with. It was places like that where he'd broken himself of the academy brainwashing and actually learned his craft, learned to think on his feet and outside of the box. "Anyway, don't thank me. 'Wreck skulkin' out the door there got the generators back on while I was dealin' with Vibro. It's gonna take more than power t' get this place runnin' on all cylinders."
Glancing down as the small femme offered to assist, Jumper gave a slight shake of the head. Tone cool but clipped, he responded, "Girl, I don't need anyone on the floor who's spent the last six cycles in a fraggin' keg've high-grade an' I'd usually flat refuse t' even let you near so much as a damn screwdriver under those circumstances. Mistakes happen in situations like that and that costs. You oughtta know better. Trick is I need hands on at the moment, so I ain't gonna lecture an' I ain't in a position t' refuse the help. Do what you can. - An' enjoy the lag from that overcharge, when it hits home."
As irresponsible as the mech himself could be when under the influence, he didn't tolerate it in the line of duty at all, from anyone. He'd said his piece and would say no more on the subject unless the femme proved herself incapable as a result of her excess.
It was at that precise moment that Laser finally went down, landing unceremoniously on the floor. Now, typically, Jumper would offer to assist a mech in that situation back to his feet and onto a bench as a matter of dignity. The trick was the guardian was twice his size and then some, there was no way he'd be able to lift that kind of weight. As it was, he made the only overture he could, "Take it easy a while, pal. You're gonna have to bear with me while I kit up...don't get me wrong, I got my own kit onboard an' I'll work with that in the main but some stuff I'm gonna have to find in house. - You two," that was to Tecton and Beam, "Hussle. Prep up, kit up an' get movin' - you got Vibro as of now. Any problems, holler."

Starport laughed at Cutlass’s statement, and stood up. He thought he should go apologize to Laser. He wasn’t about to take back what he said, but raising a fist against a friend was no way to act. Now that his head was clear, now would be a good time to find them. Looking back down at Cutlass, he lowered his hand next to him.
“Your friends are probably still with Laser. I have to talk to Laser anyway, so why don’t we go look for them together. Could save you some walking. But I need to go apologize, I should be nicer to an injured friend. Maybe we could bring him some energon, he has to be low. I can leave you here or you can come with me, but I’m taking the rest of these bots with me. Best not to get separated after the fight I guess.”

Beam shrugged and walked over to Vibro. She hopped up on a stool and stared at his resting body. Then several wires ran from her body to his, plugging into several points and latching on. "A lotta people tell me that this is the equivalence to having sex. IT'S NOT." She whispered : "But, if you wanna pretend....go right ahead!"
His vitals ran like codes up and down and through her eyeballs, flashing as she found and killed viral infections hindering the healing process. Her wires started to work as symbiotes, healing nano-nodes and delicate material torn in the protoformic layer. A small protection was emitted from her optics and into a hologram nearby. "The computer is kinda old," she explained, "I'm projecting a smart hologram in case you need to scroll through the damage, Dr. Tecton."
Laser watched Jumper head off to get his supplies. He sunk Spironok deeper into his back, to avoid crushing him. This actually caused some discomfort do to his current state, so he shut himself down, entering hibernation.
And then he entered his mind...entered a dimension more real than one could imagine....entered the Void.
************
A very different Bloron stood in the Beta Tower in the Void. This Bloron was clean cut, smooth, and quiet. He was thinner, and had removed his armor. Simply because he had no need for it. He gazed downwards from the tower, smoking a strange substance from an unreachable galaxy.
Suddenly a low beeping sound hummed from the back of the room. Bloron strode to the communication room and sat down, pressing a big red button. Laser's essence appeared on the screen. Not his face, but his essence. A face would require a man to man transmission. But he had unlocked the dimension with his mind...and was speaking with such.
"You look different, Bloron. I remember a dysfunctional little man. Now I see that you've--"
"--Taken charge?" Bloron interrupted cheerfully. "It has been...hell, quite simply." He smiled and tapped his pipe, dropping the ashes into a small plate. "So, what can I do for you?"
"I am merely taking a minute to check up on things. How have your past days been in the Void?"
Bloron chose his word carefully. Perfectly. "Constructive."
Laser's essence paused for a moment. "Excellent....excellent..." *******
Laser awoke from his hibernation with a slight smirk...one that was larger than any he had done in the past 1000 years....

Cutlass sits up. "Taking everyone with you?" He gets up. "I'd rather not get left here alone, so I'll join you."
---
Tecton nods confirming his name. "I would rather of continued to repair Laser, but as you seem to be in charge here I won't argue. Just be aware that I replaced several of the most severely damaged parts with a few that I crafted from scraps if any are still holding they will also need to be replaced. Volca can assist you but please be patient with her as she's still very early in her training." He heads over to Beam and Vibro. Thanking Beam for the projected information he sets up his equipment and begins to work. Volca looks a little worried about being away from her teacher but she bottles her concerns and turns her attention to Jumpstart. "What do you need me to do?"
