Steeltread thought about the seeker's offer of help for a moment. There wasn't much to do, but it didn't seem like there would be any harm in accepting assistance. "I'm just patrolling the area, but you can come along if you want," he said curtly. He didn't talk when it wasn't necessary, and he didn't see any reason to say anything else at the moment.

She smiled, knowing she wouldn't be bored. "Thank you, Steeltread, could you tell me more about yourself, if you don't mind?" She asked her larger comrade as they began to walk. "Do ever think this war's going to end?"

Surprised by the question, it took Steeltread a little while to think of an answer. "I'm a fighter, that's pretty much all there is to me," he shrugged, unable to come up with anything else to say about himself. He didn't really think about it much, so he didn't have much to say. He didn't think of it as important, so he quickly moved on to the next question.
"All wars end," he said. "But as long as the fighting's going on, I'm going to be in the thick of it whenever I can."

"I see, you aren't much of a talker are you?" she smiled. "I didn't get to talk to others very much when I was gathering intelligence, so it's nice to talk to someone again." She stopped talking because she could feel he was uncomfortable or he was just done talking.

"No, I don't talk much," he said looking around. The talking was a little more distracting than he'd thought it would be, but he was able to continue looking for things that were out of place. It was almost time for him to head back and report his findings, or rather lack thereof. "I don't see anything out of place, do you?"

She sighed as she didn't find anything either. "No, I guess our attack on Iacon really lowered the autobot's morale, huh?" Volume looked at the ground for a minute. "Seeing as we didn't find anything, I guess we should go back."

"You are correct," Steeltread affirmed. He started to head back, muttering (rather loudly) to himself. "I should be up in the front lines, not here on guard duty. This gets too boring too quickly, no one to fight around here."

Volume started to walk back with him "Hopefully the others will get back from the desert soon, I've been rather bored as well." Volume smiled up at him. She has been worried about the outcome of the battle there for quite sometime now.

The ship arrives at Kaon as it lands on the emergency bay, troops came out of the ship to bring Rexacon to the medical bay as he needed repairs. The mission was a failure, but not entirely a failure. Roll came out as she looked at the energy data that she collected from the battle. If she can mimic this sort of energy then the decepticons would be unstoppable. She had no time to lose as a drone came up and took the data as it heads to the lab. Turning around, she turns to the other cons who were still in the ship.
"You are free to do what you want until Rexacon makes a recovery and calls a meeting. Until then, be gone."
Roll turned around as she headed towards her laboratory, it was time to work on the energy source and to bring Rexacon's latest plan to action once and for all.

Steeltread only nodded in reply to Volume's statement. He looked up to see a ship entering Kaon. Knowing that it must be the Decepticons who had left for a mission, he transformed into his tank form and headed towards the area where the ship had landed without waiting for Volume. If he was somewhere near the ship, he might get to hear about what happened. It's always better to be in a fight, but when you can't be there, hearing about others' fights is always entertaining.

Echoblade nodded to Roll and walked towards the medical bay, attempting to keep the small scorpion she'd brought back hidden. She was really starting to feel the pain from the injuries she'd sustained and she found it hard to focus on keeping the scorpion hidden. She was surprised that nobody had noticed on the ship, but she was glad it had gone unnoticed for this long.
